Sometimes the Little Guy...

The letter begins as follows:

RE: Your letter, received April Fools' Day

Dear Monster Lawyers,

Let me begin by stating, without equivocation, that I have no interest whatsoever in infringing upon any intellectual property belonging to Monster Cable. Indeed, the less my customers think my products resemble Monster's, in form or in function, the better.

It gets better. And, with the power of Google and blogs, perhaps this letter will become well known and used as a resource by any of the small companies that Monster Cable tries to bully in the future.

Can we vote for this guy for president?

This is beautiful. Seriously, I hope this letter gets in the hands of all those farmers being sued for accidentally planting tiny swaths of seeds crossed with Montsano seeds (http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/05/monsanto200805).

Yeah, that's one of the most

Yeah, that's one of the most ridiculous cases of legal bullying I've seen. Something needs to be done about it.

Glorious

I love this kind of thing. I really enjoy watching "the big guys" bullying themselves off of cliffs.

Blue Jeans Cable is very well thought of in the "cable" industry (that's the wire industry not the service that feeds multiple channels of "TV" into your house) and are one of the few that try to focus on American Made cable of the highest quality.

While most cable is made off-shore, the quality is also considered average to sub standard by the folks who have to use cable to get a signal from point A to point B.

It's a hoot to see Kurt Denke take Monster Cable (considered grossly overpriced by most professionals) to the wood shed . . . it couldn't happen to better gang of sharks.

Anon, I commend to you the final couple paragraphs where Denke gives his law history and then says, "I dare you to follow through with litigation, because I'd destroy you."
