So tonight was my first sermon at youth camp. First sermon in four months. And the first sermon at youth camp kind of sets the tone for the whole. I was going for funny but also honest and straightforward.

Feels good to get the first one done. I was kind of nervous. Preaching to adolescents is...important. It's important that you not bore them, not treat them like children, and not play manipulative tricks. Somehow you have to be interesting, relevant, and faithful to the preaching code, all at the same time. It's important that they be treated carefully and respectfully.

It's a challenge to be sure. I also had a lot of fun.
