Tastefully Tacky
The house was quiet today. The girls were back in school, and I decided to eat lunch at home and watch "Garden State." I threw a couple of slices of Spam in a skillet and fried them until they were crispy.
Please, I know how disgusting Spam is. I guess you can leave a comment telling me what I already know, but maybe you want to avoid wasting your time. I don't eat Spam often, but sometimes I do. There, I said it.
So anyway, I'm eating my lunch and watching this rather artsy film, right? Meanwhile I'm delicately spreading Grey Poupon on Spam like that's just something people do all the time. Suddenly the whole thing is hilarious to me. I also think it's a rather nice metaphor for my life - refined taste mixed with bad habits and tacky behavior.
Welcome to my world!
