User Profile Change

August 4, 2005 - 3:35pm

To all registered users: Matt has changed the personal profile options so that you can give us a little more information, if you wish. There is now a space for your blog or website address, if you have one. There is also a place where you can tell us a little about yourself. All optional, of course.

This way, when you click on someone's name, you can find their blog and read a little about them as well. Check out some of the new users in the "who's new" box. Some have already used the new options.

If you want to update your user profile, click "my account" on the left, and you can add your URL and description of yourself.

We're also working on a better chatroom. That will be fun. Discussion forums are already available to me. I just need to figure out how to set them up. Maybe next week.

Note: You can only use the chatroom if you are a registered user. If you haven't registered, you can't even see the chatbox. This really isn't that important since we'll only be using this chatroom for a short time

I was off-line for about a week and a half and the world changed. Looks nice, rlp.

I was hoping you'd keep the chatroom. It's a better place to chat than in Yahoo chatrooms, and I'm less likely to get in trouble. It's nice to talk to a crowd with some intelligence. Pauly the Bull

Good improvement. Any plans on implementing the tempting Image Assist tool floating around the bottom of RLP input boxes?

Umm...no. Those will be for me and disabled for everyone else. I think I can probably come up with about 10 good reasons not to let people upload images to thw weblog. ;-)
Obviously I'd have to monitor them, and I don't want to have to do that. Nor could I, really.

Man, would I love to use Drupal, but the documentation has confused me to the point of giving up and I just can't get it to work with me on my own.

Still loving the site, though. Thanks again for all you do, G.

mmm
I'm having some troubles now. I was in the chat room ealier
now it keeps saying I need to register / sign in - only I can't.

I've tried deleting all cookies and then also made sure the pop up box is ok - but nothing

is the system down or something. It says no-one is in the chat room anyway, so maybe I should just do some work instead.

appreciate any help :) thanks

MMM, I'm not aware of any problem. Are you sure you are logged in as a user? If you continue to have problems, send me an email so I can have your email and I'll look into it and write you back.

I've deleted all cookies, but still can't get back in.
