I've been away for a couple of days. Jeanene
and I went to Georgetown to visit my parents. I had Sunday off, which was nice.
I spent Monday wandering around the Baptist
General Convention of Texas annual meeting in Austin. I've been a messenger from
my church to this meeting every year since 1992. This year I was not there to
vote or even to pay attention to anything, really. I saw old friends, tried to
write a little, and visited with my in-laws.
We got home Monday night in time for me to
watch that incredible Monday Night Football game. Go Cowboys!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know where I've
been.
The
Christmas CD seems to be selling okay.
Maybe 75 or so. I'm hoping sales will pick up in December as we get closer to
Christmas. Thinking about how something sells or doesn't sell is rather new for
me, and I don't really like it. But I am trying to make a part of my living as a
writer, so there are realities I cannot escape. So be it. We'll see how it goes.
