Wow. I really appreciate you posting this. I followed the links, and on the Teen choking game website, I found a letter written by the principal of my hometown high school after a teen choked to death last fall! My own quiet little hometown.... very, very scary. I had never heard of this "game", and I will definitely bring this up the next time I see my teenage brother, who lives in the same town where the boy died.

Thanks again for bringing this issue to our awareness! I know you can't be a bannerman for every issue out there, but I think there is a reason that every once and a while we are prompted to speak up about a certain cause.

Kids unfortunately have been doing this for decades. When I was a teenager, you would bend at the waist, take 10 deep breaths, then come up quickly and someone would press their thumbs into your cartoid veins. They would promise to catch you, instead usually letting you hit the ground and then spitting on you and laughing.

Jesus, save us from ourselves.

I learned about this game after my 11 year old son, Dylan Blake, 'played' the game by himself in his bedroom on October 5th 2005. Dylan lost his life. It is very scary that children know all about this game (they feel it is safe) and parents, myself included, are unaware of the game and it's fatal dangers. Kids play this because they think it's a safe alternative to taking drugs. If only they knew that the free radicals produced because of hypoxia made it such that they may as well be injecting themselves with hydrogen peroxide.
