Last day in Creede, Colorado. I'm sitting
upstairs at Journeys, a coffee shop, hoping to finish the last chapter of this
year's Christmas story. I'd better finish it. I have to go into the
studio to record it next Thursday!
We leave for home tomorrow. I'll blog during
the two-day journey using my Treo 650, just as I did on the way
to Colorado. Just chatting, you know, regular blogger stuff. One
the way here I mentioned the story of some women I met in Taos a few years ago
who were convinced they were from another solar system. Whatever. Taos - is that
perfect or what? I was going to write about that on the way here, but we ended
up not going through Taos. I'll tell you that story either Saturday or Sunday
from the road.
In the meantime, I have a couple of sites you
might like to visit.
Connectivity-
This is the new blog of Charlie Johnson, who until recently was a pastor here in
San Antonio. He and I have met a few times and had lunch together. He is now a
professor at McAfee school of theology in Georgia. Couple of interesting things
about Charlie. First, he's a Baptist with a liberal heart. Second,
he's just emerged from what will probably be the hardest ministry experience he
will ever have. He mentions this in his first post with an indication that he
might unpack this event later on. Should be interesting. Third, he can
write. That's always a bonus, right?
Pa^2 Patois-
This is a poem from a guy who walked outside on September 11th and saw the Trade
Center Towers burning. I have no idea who he is. I know he writes poetry about
the things he sees. It's worth a read. I got an email with a link to his poem. I
don't always get a chance to follow the links people send me, but for some
reason I did. Probably because it was September 11th and most of us slowed down
a bit on that day to think, reflect, pray, poem, or whatever your thing is.

This is what I did this week in
Colorado
The aspen leaves are turning - what can I say?

One more thing - While we're
driving, I'll drop into the chat room a few times. I'll try to post the times
when I'll be in there.
